Beautiful Dirty Roads: Jacmel, Haiti.

Broken boxes and canvas shells lay scattered as we walk through the fringe of Jacmel.  People were not so busy with pots and water jugs, loose goats and chicken on rope.  A child bathed naked under a bucket and his mother's hands.

This brightly tagged door initially caught my eye, "Welcome" it reads.  There was nothing on the other side of it.  I hardly noticed the girl.  It wasn't until going through shots afterwards that I realized that we were in the presence of beauty even in destruction.  Even on a dirty road.
